Managing
Conflict Constructively
Conflict
is unavoidable. Situations
arise where people or groups
are at odds with other
people or groups. Anger
and frustration grow; outcomes,
which are unpleasant at
best, and life threatening
at worst, occur. This component
will provide a basic understanding
of the nature and causes
of conflict. Through
exploration of the three
dimensions of conflict: intrapersonal,
interpersonal, and inter-group,
the participants will be
empowered to better understand
the roots of conflict.
Participants will be encouraged
to look at conflict as
both normal and unavoidable,
and through the use of
experiential learning techniques,
will be provided with the
resources to handle conflict
appropriately.
